Access to the prions is usually easy. The Ugandan government provides the yellow jump suites all prisoners wear, but other items like underwear,personal hygiene items, sheets and blankets must come from family members or prison ministries. Some question the value and effectiveness of prison ministry. Anyone who have done any such ministry at all, will tell you they have never met anyone who would admit their guilt. Yet there are also countless stories of lives that have been changed forever by such efforts. I have seen first hand the intense witnessing to one man who was unmoved, but another in the room, overheard the entire conversation and was converted. In prison, as everywhere else, evangelism must be intentional. |
