Throughout rural village schools, we find a common desk in use. Most woodworking shops have the pattern for these desks and they can be purchased for only $20 per desk.

The two photos below illustrates the desk project. The first photo is a present classroom that uses very simple wooden planks as seats for the students. The other, the much better desk that provides a surface for writing notes, etc.
