The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity (the Godhead)

Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit after He went to the Father

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another helper, (comforter/advocate) to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you - John 14:16-17

• He gives gifts to use in the church (the body of Christ) as listed in Romans 12, Ephesians 4, 1 Corinthians 13-15
• He gives power and witness - Acts 1:8
• He gives inward conviction of sin - Psalm 51:10-12
• He testifies to and is truth - 1 John 5:6
• He intercedes (helps, advocates) for us - Romans 8:26-27
• He speaks of Christ, not Himself, - John 15:26, 16:14
• He enlightens (enables us to see & understand - Eph 1:17-18
• He regenerates (gives Spiritual birth) - John 3:3-8
• He sanctifies (enables us to mature) - Galatians 5:16-18
• He transforms (changes)- 2 Corinthians 3:18, Galatians 5:22-23
• He searches all things Godly - 1 Corinthians 2:10
• Your body is His temple - 1 Corinthians 6:19
• We quench (suppress) the Spirt’s power in us when our sin conceals His presence within us - 1 Thessalonians 5:19
• We grieve (sadden) the Spirit by willful sin - Ephesians 4:30

• Is the giver of revelation (God’s Word) - Isaiah 61:1-3
• was poured out upon us - Isaiah 32:15, Joel 2:28, Acts 2:17
