Home Uganda Ranked 91st in Press Freedom UGANDA has been ranked 91st on the level of world press freedom, beating 75 other countries including Rwanda. In a report by Reporters Without Borders (RSF), a France-based media body, released on Monday, Rwanda ties with Egypt and Indonesia at 110. Tanzania and Kenya are ranked 79 and 69 respectively well above Uganda's performance. The report puts the Democratic Republic of Congo at number 127 and Sudan featuring at 142 after Zimbabwe. Finland, Iceland, Netherlands and Norway hold the number one position while North Korea trails at 166, immediately after Cuba. The ranks measure the state of press freedom in the world. |
